CASPER — Wyoming’s flag is being featured on a new postage stamp.
The new stamp will go on sale Aug. 17. It will be sold in 50-stamp rolls that will also include stamps displaying the flags of other states and territories. It’s the final set of “Flags of our Nation” stamps being produced by the U.S. Postal Service.
Gov. Matt Mead and postal officials will officially dedicate the stamp at a ceremony on Aug. 23 at the Wyoming State Museum.
The flag stamps are being sold as a series, in a coil of 50 stamps only, priced at $22.50. Stamps will be available in local Post Offices on Friday.
