Do you support Gillette College breaking off as its own college district and what role should the city play in supporting the college moving forward?
Having a college in our community is a priory in my book. So, if breaking off as its own district is our best option to continue to offer higher education, I completely support it.
As for what role should the city play in this, that’s where it gets really complicated.
In many cases, funding would be what is expected from the city, and with current budget restraints and public attitude toward any tax increases, I do not know what support could be offered.
I would like to say I fully support Gillette College as a citizen of Gillette.
