Thirteen people have applied for the open seat on the Campbell County Commission, including seven who first applied to the local GOP the first time around.

District Judge Michael N. “Nick” Deegan has been tasked with filling the open seat on the commission after the sitting commissioners failed to give majority support to one of the three finalists — Elgin Faber, Jeff Raney and Troy McKeown — at a meeting in early December.
