Taking exception: School district looks to professionals amid teacher shortfall

Desiree Kannegieter is about to begin a process that Kelly Hunter just completed.

In the upcoming school year, Kannegieter will take on her first class of students at Twin Spruce Junior High. Hunter will be going into his third year of teaching at the same school but his first as a fully certified science teacher.

With Campbell County facing a teacher shortage, Desiree Kannegieter is prepared and certified to leave her position in Human Resources with the school district to science at Twin Spruce Elementary School next year.

It is also worth looking into the preasures that admin are putting on teachers. Teacher talk the collegues who look at this place as a potentional place for employment. Unfornatenately, it's not always a stellar recommendation for out district when the "good ol' boys" system of questionable leadership qualities and poor communication get brought up again and and again.
