It's rough, dirty and sometimes even beautiful. Throughout the weekend cowboys and cowgirls roamed the Cam-plex grounds, often on horseback, always wearing their classic western attire of boots, jeans, long-sleeved shirt and a cowboy hat.

For the first time, the Wyoming State High School Rodeo Finals took place in Gillette. The young competitors competed for their chance to qualify for the National High School Finals Rodeo taking place in Rock Springs on July 14-20. Thirteen Gillette area people qualified over the course of the weekend.
