Some members of the Campbell County Public Library Board are opposed to the American Library Association and its perceived influences on the Campbell County Public Library.

At a library board meeting last week, discussion on the ALA took up quite a bit of the board members’ time. Board chair Sage Bear said she wanted to talk about the ALA in the meeting because she’s heard a lot of concerns from members of the community about the organization.

let the book burning begin

Instead of flopping around about what books should be banned this library board should be concerned about literacy and motivating kids to learn to read. The board should also be concerned about providing the community with access to information and technology that will advance the citizens of this community.

Cap'n Bumbleguts

The only books they want are Mein Kampf, 2000 Mules, and The Art of the Deal.

Sage Bear is certainly riding for the brand. She is “pretty disturbed” by: Equity ( The quality of being fair and impartial ), Diversity ( the practice or quality of including or involving people from a range of different social and ethnic backgrounds and of different genders, sexual orientations, etc ) and Inclusion ( the practice or policy of providing equal access to opportunities and resources for people who might otherwise be excluded or marginalized, such as those who have physical or mental disabilities and members of other minority groups. )

Which means her ‘viewpoint’ supports: Inequity ( lack of fairness or justice. ), Uniformity ( people should be like me ) and Exclusion ( if you are not like me, don’t expect acceptance, fairness, our inclusion. ) Welcome to Sage Bear’s Equality State where you can be accepted, treated fairly and feel included if you are a Sage Bear clone. All others should keep moving, there’s nothing for you here. I won’t be using Bear's Naturally Clean Dry anymore. I’m probably not worthy of service from the Gillette Taliban since I don’t support Sharia law even in its neo-Christian form.
