John Bear

Rep. John Bear, R-Gillette, during the morning session on Jan. 18, 2023, in the House Chamber.

During a state legislative committee meeting last week, a local legislator made a comment about foreign visitors flying into Gillette and had the governor's office look into it.

In a Thursday morning meeting of the House Revenue Committee, legislators were talking about Medicaid expansion and Rep. John Bear, R-Gillette, asked a question of Stefan Johansson, director of the Wyoming Department of Health.

Personally, if he feels nothing is wrong with this then he can feed them, house them on his own dime. He can personally take responsibility for them also.

Since our Rep. John Bear, R-Gillette, is a fine upstanding Christian and respected businessman, we have to assume that someone influential in his ‘community’ is a liar. It would have to be someone that has knowledge of the airport operations and Rep. Bear’s phone number. Hmmm, would the local liar please step forward and take responsibility so no one doubts the credibility of our dear Christian Rep. Bear? Come on now, we wouldn’t want the public to think that an upstanding Christian businessman would give false witness in order to deprive Wyoming’s poor of healthcare, would we?

Can you say conspiracy theory?

maybe a temporary internment camp should be built for visitors to Gillette until we can know their business. i think a good site would be just north of the welding academy

So someone saw some brown people getting off a plane in Gillette and these clown candidates are freaking out about it. This is where we're at.

Yeah, weird isn’t it? The ‘illegal immigrant caravan heading north’ ruse is usually deployed during election years but now it can be used to fight against Medicaid expansion. I hope Rep. Bear is as frugal and data driven when the move to give state legislators access to the Wyoming Employees' Group Insurance comes up for debate. Otherwise, he just might be a hypocrite.

We have to remember that John Bear went unopposed this election. He’s a representative because of 1800 votes. There are 20,000 registered Republicans in this community. It’s time we remind John that he is not in Cheyenne to represent 1800 votes in a community of our size. He’s there to represent all of us.

So disgusting that this man is my senator. Hoping someone, anyone, runs against him next time. I don't care if it's a liberal dog I would vote for it over Dumbpublican Bear.
