State Sen. Jeff Wasserburger is part of a clinical study and treatment for the stage 4 non-small cell bone carcinoma has been diagnosed with in both lungs.

The Republican state lawmaker representing Campbell and Converse counties revealed his health issues after he was re-elected to a second term last week in the general election. He was unopposed after beating Republican challenger Jeff Raney in the primary election in August.
