The man whose trial ended abruptly in November after a witness admitted to lying to investigators was given suspended prison sentences for possession of a deadly weapon with unlawful intent and destruction of property, both felonies.

D’Marco L. Jones, 24, originally was charged with attempted first-degree murder, but that charge was reduced after his trial started and a key witness admitted lying to investigators about whether she was carrying a gun during altercations Sept. 22, 2018, at Mingles in which a man was shot in the leg.

Unbelievable... This guy hears some racial slurs, which are wrong, but then goes and gets a handgun and shoots multiply shots at a variety of people, luckily hitting only one. He faces up to 8 years in prison, but gets off after about 1 year, is fined 6 grand and gets probation. What a joke!!!
