It took nearly three years, but Campbell County has bought land for the location of a new visitors center.
Commissioners approved the purchase at their regular meeting Tuesday morning. The county paid $294,030 for 5 acres northeast of Gillette near the Garner Lake Road exit of Interstate 90. The site is across from the Wyoming Department of Transportation office.
