The Wyoming Department of Health has withdrawn its proposal for the meningitis vaccine to be required for all age appropriate Wyoming students this fall.

As a result, the meningitis shot will not be required in Wyoming schools this year as pervasively expected, despite the department’s efforts to enact it into law this summer, according to a press release Thursday.
