Mink at Dalby Memorial Park

Gillette resident Deb Johnson got this photo of a wild mink near the edge of the Fishing Lake at Dalby Memorial Park. Wildlife officials confirm sightings of a family of mink living nearby and caution that, while cute, they are wild animals and can be dangerous if harassed.

It may be too hot to wear a mink coat while out walking around Gillette — unless you're a mink.

Deb Johnson was surprised earlier this week when her visit to the Fishing Lake at Dalby Memorial Park was interrupted by a close encounter with one of the semi-aquatic mammals.
