City says it used 2.7 million pounds of scoria last winter

Recent rains caused remaining scoria to pile up in a section of roadway along West 7th Street Friday morning. Last winter, the city put down 2.7 million pounds of scoria, an uptick of 14% from the previous winter.

Saturday is the first day of summer, but in Wyoming it is never too early or too late to talk about snow. 

A city of Gillette wrap-up report shows that Gillette had two more winter storms this past season at 29 than it did a year ago.

Scoria vs. Ice Slicer. What is the impact to the waterways and environment using Slicer? It doesn't just evaporate .. There has to be an impact from run off.


Just look at what Ice Slicer does to the underside of your vehicle. It is nasty.
