Crazy Horse Memorial

The 33rd annual Volksmarch, or “peoples walk,” is Saturday and Sunday at the Crazy Horse Memorial in South Dakota.

The 34th annual Crazy Horse Spring Volksmarch is Saturday and Sunday in the Black Hills.

The Crazy Horse Memorial, the world’s largest mountain sculpture, will host the popular hike both days. This year’s event also will offer some unique views of the progress being made on the sculpture of Crazy Horse.

I just can't get too excited about Crazy Horse... The World's Largest Mountain Sculpture (85% unfinished). It hasn't changed much in the last 50 years and still rakes in money from unsuspecting tourists hand over fist. I understand that the sculptor refused government money to complete the project, but it has provided his family a very nice income and at the current rate of completion... won't be done for a couple of hundred years. I think it is a bit of a scam.
