Racquetball with a side of trash talk

Paul De Celle, from left, prepares to strike the ball as Michael Scherlin gets himself in position while on the next court, Rich Robertson gets ready to take a swing and Ozzy Santana prepares himself at the Campbell County Recreation Center racquetball courts on Wednesday.

For Michael Scherlin, Paul DeCelle, Troy Eskew, Ozzy Santana and Rich Robertson, trash talking is an integral part of their games of racquetball. The five converged at the Campbell County Recreation Center early Wednesday morning to play a game of cutthroat (three players) and a game of singles (two players).

Scherlin calls it respectful trash talking that keeps them competitive.
