The COVID-19 pandemic has left its mark on Wyoming and Campbell County thus far. In the county, more than 7,000 residents have contracted the disease and more than 80 have died from it. In the state, there have been more than 76,000 confirmed cases and more than 1,000 people have died.

It’s shortsighted to consider those the only effects. The pandemic, especially in the early days where uncertainty was more widespread than it is today, saw many businesses shut down and many jobs lost. Some fell behind because of those affected by those economic disruptions, and it has remained difficult to catch up since.
