A 31-year-old man will spend 12 to 18 years in prison for three crimes he committed in Gillette in 2019 and 2021.

Christopher King had faced the possibility of life in prison after prosecutors added criminal enhancements to charges against him because of his lengthy criminal record.

At least the judge had the fortitude to not accept the plea agreement our whimpy County attorney settled on. This career criminal has had far too many "second chances", yet our county attorney bargained for something even the judge thought was way to lenient.

Remember that when he comes up for election.
