Gillette residents continue to use a lot of water this summer, but that's not surprising for city officials.

As of the end of last week, the city’s average water usage for July was 11.77 million gallons of a day. While that is about 5.2% less than June’s average of 12.42 million gallons, the 11.77 million gallons per day is still 16% above the normal 10.15 million residents typically use during July.
