Residents may have splashed their last at City Pool

Residents and city officials hope pool can re-open this summer

The line at the Gillette City Pool extended so long before 10 a.m. Tuesday that it curled like a snake down Gillette Avenue.

The wait was unbearable because temperatures were already approaching 90 degrees, but at least there was a light at the end of a steamy tunnel — to dip into the refreshing pool.
