About 30% of Campbell County School District employees have received the COVID-19 vaccine and thus are eligible for the $300 incentive the board of trustees approved on Sept. 14.

Larry Rezicek, the district’s human resources manager, put the total number of employees who’d received a vaccine at 609 as of Wednesday. The district has a total of 2,050 employees, with more than 1,900 of those being certified staff, educational support personnel and substitutes.

Quite frankly, I am shocked that only 30% of CCSD employees have received the Covid 19 Vaccination. I have contacted 8 Medical Doctors in our community and 100% of them strongly support everyone getting the vaccination. This is a medical situation and I believe that we should follow their recommendation. Please contact a doctor who you know and trust and visit with them for the benefit of everyone. Stop listening and spreading misinformation and gossip from Facebook and make a responsible decision.
