Large crowd and newcomers show up for first Gillette Skijor Derby

Hundreds of people gathered Saturday morning aside a straight dirt clearing scraped through the snow and into the ground outside Cam-plex.

The 700-foot race track was parallel to an equidistant snow race course, with three sets of jumps built into the icy terrain, along with other obstacles.
