A woman who claimed that she was shoplifting a Walmart for a college term paper on kleptomania now faces two additional felony shoplifting charges after police searched her college dorm room and allegedly found thousands of dollars of other items that she took.

Lydia Marie Cormaney, 23, was first arrested June 5 after several Walmart employees thought her actions were suspicious when she had a shopping cart full of merchandise that she hadn’t paid for, according to an affidavit of probable cause filed in the case. Cormaney allegedly tried to roll the cart out of the tire shop but was stopped by Walmart employees, who electronically locked the door.

It will be interesting to see how this case is handled. This individual committed a felony and should be prosecuted. It is this type of crime that makes it hard on all of us as prices rise... partly due to this group who simply don't care about anyone but themselves. Apparently this young lady hasn't learned right from wrong and needs it put before her in very firm terms. Convict her.
