A community-wide Christmas celebration featuring parades and an auction of wreaths and chocolate will highlight this weekend’s activities around Wyoming.

Pinedale’s Mountain Man Christmas will be held Saturday and will showcase a lighting of the town’s official tree, an open house at the Sublette County Visitor Center and a “parade of lights.”

The night before, on Friday, Pinedale’s Museum of the Mountain Man will hold its annual Wreath and Chocolate Auction to raise money for the museum and Sublette County Historical Society.

Attendees will be able to bid on unique wreaths and chocolate delights during the event.

Other activities scheduled for the weekend include:

The December Dunk Youth Basketball Jamboree in Rock Springs on Friday and Saturday;

The Jackson Hole Snocross National in Jackson on Friday and Saturday;

A Christmas swing music concert in Sheridan on Friday;

A Christmas open house at the Riverton Museum on Saturday;

A Christmas open house at the Dubois Museum on Saturday, and

An “Old Time Christmas” open house at Lander’s Pioneer Museum on Saturday.
