WASHINGTON — I don’t know about you, but I’ve had enough of sheltering in place while markets implode, businesses shutter, and Congress focuses its attention on the really important work of pushing extraneous ideological projects and blaming each other for a lack of progress on emergency legislation.

So, apparently, has the Federal Reserve. On Monday morning, at 8 a.m., the central bank released an extraordinary document, promising an unprecedented scope of new lending.
