Less than two weeks ago, newly inaugurated President Joe Biden talked a lot about unity. He pledged that his administration would work to heal some deep political and ideological divides that have ripped at the very soul of the United States.

It’s now clear that Biden’s idea of “unity” is to force compliance to his own ideals and policies and damn the well-being and health of communities caught up in a one-sided effort to dramatically overhaul our domestic energy footprint.

If you had read and understood: “We can see each other not as adversaries but as neighbors. We can treat each other with dignity and respect. We can join forces, stop the shouting and lower the temperature. For without unity there is no peace, only bitterness and fury.”, before pasting it into your rant, maybe you would have understood that articles like this one just stir up bitterness and fury. How about some helpful suggestions to get us out of the mess Rush Limbaugh, Fox News and hatemonger journalists like you have gotten us into with their failed Trump mal-administration?

Mr. Johnson why don't you acknowledge ALL the FACTS before you print your "editorial" The oil and gas moratorium was out in place largely because there are already over 10,000 oil and gas leases just sitting idly out there. The moratorium doesn't affect those, maybe the oil and gas companies should concentrate on developing what they already have. There are thousands of dead oil and gas wells on federal land that the companies have walked away from without properly plugging and abandoning them. Maybe the oil and gas companies should clean up their mess before crying about the inability to create a new mess. Get used to this, the Republicans don't want to find solutions to climate change they just want to continue business as usual.
