ZORIA MEREDITH JAMES, 21, was given a deferred sentence and one year of unsupervised probation April 15 for felony possession of marijuana. District Judge Thomas W. Rumpke also ordered her to pay $780 in fees. James was one of three arrested Sept. 25. The driver took off running when they were stopped. The officer caught up with him after about a mile. A search of the car turned up two 1-ounce bags of marijuana, a 27.4-gram bag of marijuana and a 0.7-gram joint. All three said they knew the marijuana was there and James said they were all planning on selling it, according to court documents. An earlier charge of possession with intent to deliver was dropped earlier as part of a plea agreement.
